From iheart member Steve:
I realize for most of us that title could apply to a million things we feel we should be doing. That’s not what this is about.
While reading over at lifehacker.com, I saw a post entitled “Re-establish the Weekly Review Habit.” And quite honestly it’s not one I have yet. I get busy, travel, schedule meetings, and while I DO review things, and have created ways to ‘see’ all my projects, I still think I would benefit from deliberately and regularly doing some kind of step by step review.
I even think OneNote could help be a place to keep notes and put in time and date stamps when I do review and update a project.
The lifehacker article links to a further article here: http://www.lifehack.org/articles/productivity/gtd-refresh-part-5-building-the-weekly-review-habit.html and I’m definitely in the category of needing to ‘build a weekly review’ habit.
So you are my witnesses. I’m going to take time this week and figure out a weekly review pattern and practice that could work for me. I’ll begin it on Wednesday when I’m flying. Airplane and airport time are good times to reflect I find.
I’ll let you know what comes of it. And please comment on what you’re ‘not’ doing that would be a realistic next step for you to take in getting better organized.
